Hi There, I use a C-Beam model CNC with Arduino UNO and Grbl commands. every things was good and I had no problem, but today I have a problem with Z axis. when I run program, just after running, the Z axis start to go up where it touches limit SW at the end of Z column then stop machine with this error message: Hard limit triggered. Machine position is likely lost due to sudden and immediate halt. Re-Homing is highly recommended. [S11999 M3]. But after Re-homing I have the same problem. I use Fusion 360 for modeling design too.
I have another question about check size. After determining the location of Axis X=0, Y=0 and Z=0 and send check size command, I don't find the axis X=0 and Y=0
1) Did you remember to Setzero 2) Checksize draws the bounding box that contains the Job in XY so you can estimate if the job is going to happen in the right place Not sure what this means, but watch the Introduction video
This can be caused by 2 things: 1 - You need to set the end of job Z position option for the post-processor correctly: you need to set the Z end-of-job position to a negative number large enough to clear your limit switch. the default is -10mm so you must have changed it, therefore it will be highlighted in blue as in the above image. Note that if you hover your mouse on the text of any of the options some help text will popup to help you use it correctly. Also, do update to the latest version from OpenBuilds/OpenBuilds-Fusion360-Postprocessor 2 - your retract and safe heights on your height tab in fusion for the operation are too large. I doubt it is this though since you would see this at the start of the job as well as the end.
Hi everybody, I have another one a problem with my Z axis, just after set up my 3 Axis to zero, when I run the program, only Z axis start go down 8mm deep in model from the zero reference to the start point of operation then the program runs normal without any errors. I try to instal OpenBuilds/OpenBuilds-Fusion360-Postprocessor in Fusion but in post process my dialog box is different and there is not Openbuild Grbl in dialog box!!! what is problem?
Thanks Peter for your answer but I don't use Black box , I run just my machine with Arduino uno, what do you think about it? is there any problem?
