I'm sorry if I am posting in the wrong place... I didn't know where else it might fit. I noticed last night that my acro laser build has a lot of slop in both the X and Y axis again. It seems like the wheels keep coming loose and are not holding tight to the V-slot allowing for play in the frame. I have had to adjust and tighten the wheels several times and my machine doesn't see a lot of use. Does anyone have suggestions for fixing the slip in the wheel bolts to keep this from happening so often? I have thought about making new plates out of aluminum that would allow for the use of the eccentric spacers to make adjustments easier... Could the eccentric spacers be used with the stock acrylic plates? What modifications would need to be made to the plates for eccentrics to be used? Thanks for any suggestions you might have.
Negative, the chance of cracking the plates is too high as the eccentrics excert a lot of force You are using lock nuts right? Mines still solid since I build it in 2017
Interesting, they do hold fine for me, haven't seen the issue pop up in support much either. Maybe tighten just a little more?
I will give it a try. I have been worried about overtightening and cracking the plate, but maybe It can take more than I think...
