    Morning/afternoon All.

So bit of a mongrel set up here in AU.
    It's a knockoff 1500x1500 mechanical kit.
I ditched the STB5000 motion controller because Mach3 is poo IMHO.
Actually its probably because I'm not super clever, and Windows annoys me . . .
Anyway I have a Buildbotics motion controller now and it was sooo much easier than Mach3 etc.
And their customer service is excellent.
Running a 3hp water cooled spindle although this is only going to be advantageous when I'm levelling boards with a 50mm cutter. Most of what I hope to do would be fine with a basic air cooled router.

I'll put pictures up sometime if you're interested - my work table is on wheels so I can move outside for dust and space management.

I'm curious what everyone uses for file set up.
Currently using Illustrator CS5 to make .svg and then using cam.openbuilds.com to generate GCODE.
This is free and easy (both of which suit me) but has apparent limitations.
    Especially with open vectors.

Anyway, I look forward to meeting some of you and learning from you as well as sharing what I have learned on my second foray into the world of CNC.

Hi from over the ditch Cheeky. Welcome to the club!

Plenty of Fusion360, V-carve / Aspire, Freecad etc users on the forum just to mention a few. You will get plenty of support from the guys on here.
