Is there a way to set incremental instead of continuous jog on the Interface? I use this for some repetitive positioning relative to home (0,0) and don't want to lose that functionality in the process of incorporating the interface into my workflow.

    Thanks,
    Chris

Just a toggle in settings that would allow the jog to be speed percentage or defined mm (still 0-100 so you could use the +/- ) would be awesome.

I just got mine & would love incremental jog as well. The switch is in the control software & that's what I use there.

I already have the tool. It's handy to have increment to move x inches to see where the cut will go, much like framing on my laser gantry. I'm building and tramming my spoilboard and needed to shift it x inches right to make sure it wouldn't hit the y gantry. Found out the dust boot takes away some x movement and really the 1010 can safely go 28" wide instead of 29". I still think increment is a nice option to have just like the software.

I also really would like to see this feature. I've noticed that it's quite often I need to move a certain distance from the zero position found by my probe (x, y, z). However, since that isn't possible with the Interface, I tend to not use the Interface at all and instead simply use Openbuilds Control from my PC. However, if the Interface would have a go "x mm" in x, y or z, where the distance preferably user defined via a config file and/or the ability to toggle between the distances, just like the Control software, 1mm, 10mm, 100mm, I would probably switch from not using the Interface to use it most of the time when running my CNC jobs.

Thanks for the suggestion. But do give the standard probe/cam workflows a little time to make sense to you, and you'd never need to do these kind of moves. CAM on stock front/left/top origin. Probe on same in real world. Simple and done! :)

Origin incorrect in CAM or a problem with the machine that needs to be addressed.

Hi Peter, thanks for the quick response. I get what you are saying and I do own and use the XYZ Touch Probe Plus most of time. It works fine. But if I for example forget to add space for the cutout (outside) in my cam, then I have two options. I fix it in CAM or I can just use the probe and then move it a few mm to the right and up. If that is the only cut I need to do, the Interface is fine, since I don't need to repeat the position. But if something goes wrong mid-job or if I need to make more than a single cut, then I need to re-probe and move the exact same distance again. I agree, fix it CAM would solve that issue. But, I still do it often enough, that moving fixed amount of mm from the Interface is feature that would be really welcome. It would be cool if one could make "long" press commands on the Interface for example that could enable additional features, like the one we're talking about here. Think long press on "tool" and the current jog-buttons could switch functionality. Also, thanks for the good work you're doing and I appreciate you have tons of suggestions to prioritize between :).
