Hello. I have a Sphinx 1050. I have been getting an error 9 code. It happens whenever I try to run a Profile toolpath created in VCarve Pro. I have attached a screenshot of the Grbl Error along with a copy of the log, the GCode Editor, the Gcode file itself along with Grbl settings I am using (Sphinx 1050 default settings).. The error started happening a while ago and it was infrequent, but recently it happens quite often. Thanks for your help
The onscreen alarm tells you exactly why it entered lockout. Read the 2nd part of the error too Question is did it actually hit, or was it a false trigger (EMI)
No, it's a false trigger. Another thing I found after posting is that if I zero the Z above the project, I can run the toolpath with the router on (just not engaging the workpiece). The alarm only seems to occur when the bit is in contact with the project. In this case I'm only cutting 0.001 inch. Thanks
Thought I would share the outcome of this. Hopefully the problem is solved. I had thought I had grounded everything fairly well but it turns out I neglected to ground the router mount (and thus the router itself). Adding a ground wire to the router mount appears to have solved the issue. Thanks for your help.
