    Hi @John Bolduc -

Your reasons for building this is exactly why I came to see what was happening on open builds. I was looking at the Tevo Little Monster. I like that it is using C-Channel from Open Builds, I like the approximate size too. However I was thinking of the various aspects I would want to upgrade on the Tevo like the electronics. So this got me to thinking I could potentially build my own. Looks like you are already well on your way.

Can you share more about your design?

    What is your frame size?
What is your approximate build volume?
What did you use for a heatbed?
Tell me more about your arms, extruder/hotend, etc. I don't have any hesitation to build a strong frame like yours, working in all the other mechanics though for a delta, when I've not built a delta before, makes me pause and want to do a lot of research before I jump into this. Any knowledge, design or advice you have to share is appreciated.

I am also interested. Could you save your printer file assembly as a .stp or .step file so I can open it in solidworks? I'm looking forward to building a strong delta.

Hey I like your build was wondering how I could increase the bed size to 500mm?? And do I increase arm space and such?

Great Job!!! I'm getting tired of my Rostock Max V2 and it quirks. Looking to make an all metal frame and a larger sized printer with linear rails with no skimps. I am not the greatest at CAD. Can you please resize your plates for a 500mm bed. That would be awesome. Thank you in advance if you can.

Sorry if it has been posted, I didn't see it. I have been looking to build an all metal delta printer. The o problem is I haven't been able to find firmware and controller combo that is solid/ tried and true. What are you running and how does it work?

I believe he's using the WiFi version of the Duet with the stock (RepRap I think) firmware.
I'm extremely interested in this build myself, and in the requested 500mm diameter upgrade to the hotbed.

For some time I have been interested in a new build. It was going to be a Railcore Style printer but with bigger extrusions. I was a bit fed up with my Rostock V2 too, despite a lot of upgrades. I feel the frame has simply too much room for play and error. Until I saw the TLM, a delta build would be no option for me anymore. But considering the C-Beam and direct-to-plate connection (So simple that I don't understand why it hasn't been done by all these others, working with stupid and error-prone corner brackets!).

Seeing practically zero room for play in this top and bottom plate construction I am starting to get excited for a new delta build again ;-)

One idea I have is to make the top and bottom plate round. and have a flange on it. That would make it VERY easy to fold a piece of polycarbonate between the towers to get a perfectly round enclosure for almost free, without even the need of a door. You simple pull out a side panel!

I was wondering what the best option would be (open or commercial) for the inline skates that go up and down the C-Beam extrusions. I do not want linear rail because I think the improvement is very little, it is expensive and I hear a lot of problems with those too.

    Any Idea's?
    Good luck with your build!

For people that don't want to go the linear rail route (because costly, problem-prone if you buy cheap, and probably very little improvent compaired to a V-Wheel solution), this will be very nice info! I always was very satisfied about the injection molded SeeMeCNC skates with spring-load. This is similar, but fitting the inside of a C-Beam!

I'm glad that I'm not the only one wanting to copy the TLM haha :) I just like the frame design so much but hate the electronics.. for that price of the TLM I thonk it's possible to add a little amount and DIY a hell of a printer out of that concept.

Aiming for around 55x55 frame size as I plan to fit it seemlessly into an Ikea Metod appliance cabinet in our Workplace-Kitchen.

    Thanks for inspiring!

John, the carriages in your picture, are those the original Tevo ones? I would like to know if you found (or though-up) an alternative.
