G'Day Peter, the short answer for me is no, though I was thinking about ways to manually jog a twin axis together last night.

The thought process was along the lines of attaching toothed timing pulleys on the ends of the acme lead screws, joined together with a big timing belt (loop) with some idle pulleys to keep in tension. :banghead: Got to hard so I gave up for the moment but the thought is still rattling around somewhere in the brain case.

Sorry, I can't be of more help matey. Someone else out there might know.

I Think about one Motor at the middle with two timing Pulleys on the Motor axis
one belt for the left and one for the right lead screw
so that the tension is high enough around the timing pulley

Like the concept. How it works in real life and how to set it up, has got me beat for the moment.:(
