I have had the urge to build a CNC for some time now and i have now made my mind up and i am going to get the
OX CNC MECHANICAL KIT from ooznest.co.uk (1000mm 1500mm) with the motors, i like to look of this kit because it is comprehensive and proven to work.

The question i have is there anywhere i can get all the electronics in a similar kit form, so i can be sure it is all compatible and proven to work.

I will be using my first build as a learning experience to hopefully in the future build a larger machine.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Good to hear your are interested in purchasing a kit from us. I am currently working on an electronics kit but it is taking longer than expected.

In the meantime i usually recommend buyers of our kit to watch the second half of the C-Beam assembly video by mark carew which goes over the electronics setup (C-Beam™ Machine - Plate Maker | OpenBuilds). The electronics portion starts from 1:10:00 onwards.

The concepts are pretty much the same, just that the settings are different. I have attached my grbl settings. To follow this video all your really need is the CNC xPro, Power supply, and some misc wiring.

The one issue is we are out of stock of the xPro's, and i think the same holds true for all other outlets of them.

    Hi Ryan,

Thanks for taking the time. The C-Beam also looks like a good place to start, before going onto a larger machine especially as it machines alloy too which i know i will have some use for.

When do you expect to have xPro back in stock? Might just have to order the C-Beam from you along with the xPro (well it is almost Christmas).

Either kit is very good and should be simple to build. Which ever kit you get, i would still recommend watching the second half of C-Beam build video just to grasp setting up the electronics.

We should have the xPro's back in by the end of this month.

Watched the video it helped a lot, and seems quite straight forward. I think i will have a think over the weekend and all being well order at some point in the next 2 or 3 days. One quick question i have is, is there a delivery charge?

Yes, if in the UK it will be about £22 to deliver by UPS.

    Best Regards
