Hi I've just tried to do some cutting on my Ooznest OX cnc, but it seems to have developed a fault. I suspect its the control board playing up. The board is an XPRO3 and when it cutting it is the correct height but seems to be squashed in from the left and right. When cutting a circle it's more like the shape of an egg.
Has anyone any ideas as to what's going on please

    Ken

Steps per mm calibration. CONTROL > Wizards and Tools > Calibration menu

Ok thankyou I'll take a look, but it's quite a large difference. I've just tried to centerline cut a letter H which measures 50mm square and it comes out approximately 50mm x 25mm

If its just scaling, its steps per mm.
Other problems would cause loss of position and mess up the cut more

You are correct in that $100 = 8.00 instead of 26.67. All the others appear to be correct. I cut one piece ok, but now when I set it and start it plunges the cutter into the workpiece. I'm using top of the workpiece as Z zero.

Check Z steps per mm, remember to Home before setting Zero.

I'm using bCNC as I'm connecting to a Raspberry Pi and neither UGS or OpenBuilds run on it. I think it maybe something to do with setting 0. I'm confused with the terminology used as it has MPos and WPos. When i click to set the home position X,Y and Z all show 0, but on MPos X shows 3.02. I've searched everywhere, but I cannot find how to 0 that setting. I'm thinking of getting an old MACBOOK and ditching the Pi. I successfully ran both UGS and OPENBUILDS on my last one before it finally died.

Mpos = set by homing. 0 is at the switch's trigger point, after homing it backs away from the switch - thats the 3mm and thats fine.
Wpos = set by probing, setzero buttons etc

Can't help with bCNC, but use a PC and CONTROL so its familiar territority, far easier (Windows even better than Mac - and cheaper)

Not recommended (Pi 3 and 4 was too slow) but it can, its just not a good idea Installing on Pi4
