    Hi,

I post process my job from fusion and all was allright untill today...

Now, when I start the job it goes right in my stock (in Z) and try to move to the first mill position.
I ve spent all my day in calibrating and tramming and when I've launched the first job to mill my brand new spolboard it smashes in it and probably bent something because now I have some play in the Z axis... :(

Not sure it's a fusion problem because when I take some gcode which was working well weeks ago it does the exact same thing... It plunges into my stock on startup.

    Any idea of what's wrong?
    Thanks for your help.

    Exemple of gcode:

    G90 G94 G17
    G21

    (Operation 1 of 2 : Alsage10)
    G54
(This relies on homing, see Search Results for Query: G53 fusion | OpenBuilds )
    G53 G0 Z-10
    G0 X-160.55 Y180.6
    M3 S13000
    G4 P1.8
    G0 X-160.55 Y180.6 Z15
    Z2
    G1 X-160.55 Y180.6 Z0.6 F2000

Make sure you have the very latest version of the post processor - Fusion made some changes on the last update which meant the post processor had to be updated.
Also, make sure you have a wcs selected in Fusion cam - you can right click on it when you set it and choose it to be the default if you want.

    Did you remember to HOME?

(previous successes might have been pure luck that Z was high enough on reset. But really best to actually Home)

Hi Alex and Peter. Thanks for your help
I have the latest version of the postprocess, wcs was set correctly and home was set with a probe.

Now it's working again... I think the issue was coming from the fact that I was on an other computer and the post process was not loaded correctly.
It works but when I compile, fusion shows this warning: (OpenbuildsFusion360PostGrbl.cps:320) Setting read-only property "power" on object of type "PostProcessor". This will have no effect.

On the other hand, I have another issue... When I mill circles in bore operation they are ovals. Calibration and tramming are set correctly. Any idea of what can cause this?

    Thanks for your helps guys.

Sounds like backlash. If you post a pic of the oval, labelling the X and Y axes we can give you a clue where to look.
Something is loose that shouldn't be. Starting at the bit wiggle things feeling for something moving (motors powered on). You will probably feel something rather than see it. If it is backlash something is allowing the motor to turn slightly without moving the gantry. When the "play" is taken up the gantry starts moving again.

Looks like there is some slack somewhere on the X axis. Check spindle mounts, backlash nuts, lock collars, bearings on leadscrew ends and motor coupler. Probably a good idea to adjust eccentrics as well.

Old version of post in a new version of Fusion. Use the latest Post docs:software:fusion360 [OpenBuilds Documentation]

That is not homing. That is zeroing your x y and z in the Work Coordinate System. Homing is what you do on start up where the machine touches each limit switch so the controller knows where the tool head is in the Machine Coordinate System.

Thank you all for your help.

Effectively I was not up to date despite of what I thought. I was on my local but not in the cloud.
No post process warning anymore.

I was not aware of this. I thought that I did'nt have to homing if I was zeroing my wcs. Thank you to have pointed this to me.

@Alex Chambers For the circles I think the issue comes from the nylon nuts on the Z axis plate. I have thighten them up but they seems to be a little bit loose. I should replace them.
