    Dear all,

    I have an issue.

When I start OpenBuilds Control and connect my CNC everything is fine. If I step 10 mm the CNC moves 10 mm. If I move 0.1mm it moves 0.1mm and so on.

When I use my XYZ probe to get the Z-zero I get an issue afterwards. After the probing the CNC moves 5.91mm no matter if I ask it to move 0.1, 10 or 100mm.

Closing the OpenBuilds Control fully and reopening fixes the issue until I probe again.

I use Control v1.0.370 and the 16 bit controller with firmware gnea 1.1g. I did not have this issue earlier.

    Best regards

    Martin Verner

Downgrading to Controls v1.0.367 does not help. Disconnecting and reconnecting does not help.

    Hi Alex,

I have the 16 bit Blackbox, not the x32. OpenBuilds Controls says it is the lastest firmware, I have not seen any new in a very long time.

have you confirmed that the values of
    $100 to $102
have changed after the probe? you can do a settings backup in CONTROL before and after to check.

if those settings HAVE changed during the probe then that points to a wonky earth problem that is causing some sort of EMI to mess with the controller.
unplug the spindle from mains and reset/probe/check to confirm.

Note that the AC ground must not be connected to the DC ground of the 24V psu.
Check that no limit switches are shorting DC ground to the frame.

work through the items at docs:blackbox-x32:faq-emi [OpenBuilds Documentation] to to check for EMI sources.

Or probe wired incorrectly shorting V+ to GND instead of SIG

Thank you all for your input.
    I have found the issue.
Before probing I have it set Control to Incremental Jog. After the probing, it actually switches to Continuous Jog, but it still shows the increments 0.1mm, 1mm, 10mm and 100mm. Normally the increments are hidden in Continuous Jog, so I did not notice that it switches to Continuous Jog after probing.
It must be a software bug. How do I submit a bug report?
