Hello everyone! I'v assembled an A2 size drawbot and everything is fine, except for the reversed z axis movement. I am operating the penplotter by an extension inside inkscape called, dDraw and when I put to to move the pen up, it goes down and vice versa.. Anyone know how can I fix this? The model is this one in the images
you need to reverse the Z direction in the GRBL settings. use OpenBuildsCONTROL to connect to the device and change the settings OpenBuilds Software: OpenBuilds CONTROL and OpenBuilds CAM if that does not work you will have to modify the servo mounting so the arm is on the other side of the shaft.
Servo in Grbl is not a "z axis" - its a tool, responds to S-values Not familiar with dTools but in OpenBuildsCAM you can set S-values to use for pen-up and pen-down to handle different machines, dTools probably has a way to configure it too Might be opposite 0=up, 255=down, or might even not be full scale
I tried it in first place, but the arm does not have a full rotation... what is GBRL? The dDraw is based on axidraw as it says, if I go for another extension, my machine will possibly respond to it?
