Is it possible to change the unit of measure from metric to inches in the settings? Most files I get are in inches and changing the size is messing with the cuts. The file I upload to my cam software is supposed to be 9.55” x16” and the software changes it to 9.55mm x16mm. Do I change g21 in the start g code setting to g20? View attachment 56068

do you mean you are importing a DXF into Openbuilds CAM?
if so the scale function should fix it
16" = 406.4mm so you need to scale up by 25.4 to return to correct size.

The problem with DXF format is that it is unitless, there is nothing in the file to tell the program what units are being used so the importing program has to guess, use a default, or ask the user. In this case the default is millimeters. There are a number of free CAD programs that you can use to import, adjust and re-export the DXF files.

Yes I talked to the seller (Etsy- baddogsmetalworks) and he said the file should be 9.5in x 16 in. The second photo is how it shows up once I try to re-size it. The other problem is it’s cutting the stars and vertical stripes twice, like it’s layering outward. Those are vector plasma center/no offsets, the outside cut is only once( vector- outside)

Also I’m re-sizing the file to 304.8mm (preferred size) is that causing any unseen issues?

i don't see a problem in that small fuzzy image (-:
so long as you select everything and then scale it all together it should be fine, otherwise post an export of the workspace here so Peter can look at it.

the double cutting is probably because the stars are 2 lines over each other, can you select one and delete it to see if there is something under it? or maybe you selected multiple passes when you created the cut path?
