Hayden's mag rods are great, but he is not selling anything longer than 288mm now. I will be posting the sources for other sizes soon...and another build soon. Very user friendly.

Been awhile, so I thought I would post a fuzzy picture of some of the things we have in the works. This is a Magnetic rod carrier for the Delta6 or other builds that have the 40mm side of the extrusion towards the print plate. We will be posting a new build soon with a few more ideas we are throwing together.

Sorry, don't have the iPad here to take pictures.

Good looking build, can't wait for final pictures! I've got sketchup loaded with the files for a version I'm working on. Those vertices are awesome parts! I'm currently dreaming of a 800/500 size. Hoping the horizontal parts aren't too long but there are ways of stabilizing everything. I'll probably double up on the lower motor mount area. The space is useful for electronics and to keep distance from a heated bed.

    Nice looking Magnetic rod carrier!!

My part of our Delta-Six build is complete, Parts and hardware all collected cut down and printed. Everything ( Basic Kit pretty much) has been Passed off to my family member. I gave her the URL here hoping she post's the rest of her build. :) Fingers Crossed, photos to come.

Hey everyone - I'm Scott Baker (first time caller, long time listener) and I've finally committed to building a Delta-Six. Please pardon any noob-ness that may ensue. (Such as...)

I've ordered my V-Slot, and now I need to source the vertices (for starters). I don't have access to a printer, so I'd need to get them made for me. What's a good price, and whom do you recommend?

What color, what all do you want? Seems like all I do lately is print printer parts so...

LOL... wait a minute - not only do you offer to print the parts, I get to pick the color?!?! :jawdrop:

First, that's amazing that you'd offer, so thank you very much just for that; second, I really don't care - whatever color you're trying to get rid of is fine by me, they don't even need to match. :) As far as "what all I want" the only parts I'm remotely ready for is the vertices; I'll need everything else eventually (those fancy magnetic rod carriers you mentioned above, an end effector, maybe a planetary gear thingamajig, yaddayaddayadda) so I'll take whatever you're willing to spend the time printing...

... and thirdly, what'll I owe ya? I know I need to make some choices in my build, but I just haven't made it that far mentally yet. I would love some guidance if you (or the others) are willing, as far as what decisions need made.

Let me check on the filament supply. I would say that to get started you will need to get the vertices, the plates to hold the idler pulleys. I will start a private conversation with you, and we can work out the details. I know I have blue and purple, but not sure what else right now.

As far as the magnetic stuff, I have sources for all of I, but haven't fully tested it all yet, but many others are using them.

Some pics of a modified Delta Six that I am building as my secondary printer. My MuttRap delta printer, and Panther Lautr3k are slated to be my primary printers.

Upper vertices getting a mockup with pieces inserted for filament spool holder. Blueprinter1.jpg
Her is a lower pic, with Ramps holder, and PSU end protector. The MuttRap will have Smoothieboard, and the Panther Laur3k is getting an Azteeg X5 Mini for controllers.

Yes. I am thinking that we might have to drill the 2 on one side of each, and use eccentric spacers to to get them tight and sexy!

started making some carriages today and after a few tests the full size v wheels seem much smoother than mini ones so designing around large vwheels and exentric nuts

Yes, but just buy the extreme wheels from OB. You will be much happier in the long run. They already have te design engineering for purpose, done.
