Lead cnc machine 1515 stock (every thing but the dust shoe).
    Openbuilds Black box controller.
    Openbuilds touch prob.
    Vcarve pro.
Zeroing out in the lower left hand corner.

I have a small problem. When I zero out my machine to start a new job using the prob, it starts the job about a inch farther than where I intended it to start in the X direction. The job cuts fine where it does start and I have checked to make sure its dialed in correctly. Am I missing a option some where? Do I have something not set right? I have checked vcarve pro to see if my measurements are right and they are. I also checked to see if I had some off set setup and I do not.

Any help would be great and thank you.

After you have probed the front left corner of the material, do the numbers on the display show 0's for all axes with the tool at 0,0,0 correctly?

'an inch farther' .... in which direction?

I have never used vcarve, but this is certain to be a setting: (provided you have calibrated the machine correctly, please confirm that the carve comes out the correct size)
Where is the 0,0,0 for the drawing?
Is the raw material positioned correctly in Vcarve?
Is the drawing positioned on the raw material correctly?
If you move 0,0,0 to the center of the drawing, and setZero there for X and Y, where does the carving end up?

Yes the z raises a little but before I cut I tell it to go to 0 and its in the right place.

'an inch farther' .... in which direction? It's the x direction. I set it in the lower left hand corner and it will move right just a little off from where I planed for it to start cutting. About a inch.

I have never used vcarve, but this is certain to be a setting: (provided you have calibrated the machine correctly, please confirm that the carve comes out the correct size) It's right and looks good but just not in the place I wanted it to be. I was thinking the same thing I must have clicked something some where and now cant find what I changed. I have made good signs before with and with out the prob just now its off.
Where is the 0,0,0 for the drawing? Lower left hand corner.
Is the raw material positioned correctly in Vcarve? Yea I believe so from what I have seen.
Is the drawing positioned on the raw material correctly? Yep.
If you move 0,0,0 to the center of the drawing, and setZero there for X and Y, where does the carving end up? Well Im going to give that a try, I thought about that last night. Im also going to eye ball it on the zeroing in and not use the prob one time to see what I get from that. I started useing the touch prob all the time and now it seems to go over about a inch from it's planed starting point. I was wondering if like a off set got changed and I don't know where to look to change it back.

I think I might have it figured out. I still did not have my cnc router configured right.
