I'd like to build the ACRO to pair with an L-Cheapo 10w. I'd like to do PWM engraving.

Question: will the xPRO driver board and power supply (from the parts store kit) drive this laser, or is it only for the steppers and I'd have to buy additional electronics for it?

What is the required voltage for that module and max amp?

Specs says it's 12v or 24v, but I can't find an amperage for the MK6. It's meant to run on 3d printers, so I'm guessing it's not very high

I pulled the trigger on the ACRO - I'll put it together and verify function, then it's laser diode time.

What software does everyone prefer to generate the gcode? I hope to do grayscale engraving and light cutting.

Does anybody know why my laser I got from ebay doesn't seem to work with the xpro v3 board? I connected the wires properly.... I think....
Without the PWM/Ground wire plugged in, the laser powers on via the 12v/24v out pins, but when I plug the pwm /ground wire into the spindle pin/ground pin, the laser stays off...even when I run a job via laser grbl...

In your gcode do you have the command to turn the laser power on? Going just from memory I believe it is m3.
You would also need to add the command to turn the laser off at the end of the gcode. I think it's m5

In Laserweb you can set it up to automatically insert these commands. Not sure how you do it in laser grbl.

Yeah lasergrbl automatically does it. But I tried to do it with laserweb and still the same issue. Laser doesn't power on.

I just bought an Endurance Laser (same guy as L-Cheapo) and all you need is a psu and his MO1 supply board @$20 : About Endurance MO1 PCB. The driver board to run the laser from external power supply - EnduranceLasers

I bought his 5.6W kit and ordered the MO1 as well and will pair it with an Arduino-based G2Core (32-bit TinyG) with GRBL shield.

    Hi everyone,

I'd like to know if the ACRO system could handle the vertical setup meaning the system would be in a stand-up position motors move in Y and Z axes ?
Also what's the maximum weight it could handle ?

    Thanks

More information needed - what its this 'arduino'?

Can you not connect it physically to the wiring for the steppers and microswitches. Or can you not connect it to a computer? Or can you not connect it to an app to drive your job?

I can't connect my car to my washing machine. Go figure.

How you can connect your car tires to the engine without a differential or transmission? You need at least stepper motor drivers sir
