You talking about what I said yesterday? If so it was a switch the worked for this mod but I didn't like the design of the switch. I just went to radio shack to find a better cosmetic one.

They say never interrupt a firmware upgrade, right? ...a friend of mine did and it blew its mind.
That is the unit we recovered by manually loading "stuff" until it took over the install. That was some pages ago.

Haha!! I knew it would work fine even with those sucker supports!

Now the problem is I have to remove them but they're as strong and adhered to the green parts as hell :( any tips?

@advancedrescue I just realized: your diagram pictures 3 wires going to the switch but your pictures only show 2 soldered.... whats the deal?

    Cheers.

Im also considering getting a replacement set of wipers and print pad just in case they stop producing them anytime soon. Any cheap place in EUROPE for this?

on the abs/pla thing, we would need extra chips and either another switch OR a switch with more than 2 positions I guess :?
but its safer two switches since we need to combine both? or just a commuter perhaps.

Two switches for ABS/PLA. This is put before the chip-swap switch.

You haven't tried the infinity rinse yet?

Infinity rinse is the wash-away supports material.

    Quick topic sidetour...
Anyone figure out why the little metal half-moon pieces in the cartridges?
I thought it was some kind of interlock with a magnetic switch.

    Hi guys,

I've been reading over this thread for a couple of weeks, and I was curious if those that have gone the REPRAP route have been happy with the results. I'm leaning towards gutting it as the OP did. I've got a few friends at work that also have the same machine and are tying to decide what they'd like to do with them.

Thanks for all of the great info!

You know that Windows 10 with the free 3D-Builder is suppose to have an SDK for this machine, right?
Would love to know more about that. No Windooze 10 here.

Those are gorgeous prints. How did you mount your extruder? Do you have a link to the file used for the mount?
