    Great job!

Are you referring to how Atom 3D has their autolevel? The only issue I see there is if there's any filament that may be in the way. I guess unlikely since the nozzle will be heated.

I really like the idea of a fixed bed coreyxy. I've been contemplating a Delta but prefer something like this instead. Need to start gathering parts :)

Here is a close up of the new Z endstop intergrated into the gantry.
it tilts up when light pressure is applied to the nozzle

love not having a X or Y offset for my levelling

Has this build been finalized to the point that if I start building it, there will not be any major changes before I am finished? I really like this design.

Well, I am a patient man, I will continue to follow this build and just wait until you say it is done, then I will attempt to recreate what you have built.

Sounds good. I will also try and get a document made up and proper Bill of materials along with a Fusion 360 of the entire machine. plus all STL files of the printed components. lots of work to do!

Did a test to see how consistent the hinged Z endstop Ganty works.. so far so good
    in Marlin I did a M48 V4 P10 which is a probe test

A few things on my todo list to improve with this build.
    • Adjust Cable track bracket as it can interfere with Z movement downward
    • Find a home for the Rumba, currently its wild.
    • Mount LCD , create enclosure
    • XY Gantry has wheels that keep it centered into the 40x40 frame.. most of these are not touching and the Acme screws are keeping it in position.. wonder if i need these wheels at all.
    • better mount for Bondtech Mini Extruder
    • install 300x300 120v 750watt silicone heater and AC SSR
    • add loops around idlers so belt will be easier to install and adjust
    • Hotend Fan
    • remove Acme screw springs, make it solid.
    • Filament guide to get to the Extruder
    • Glass bed hold down brackets
    • better belt tensioning for XY stepper belts
    • E3D Silicone Cap cover
    Long term improvements..
    • expand to 12x24 bed
    • go back to using full size V wheels instead of Mini
    • 32bit Controller
    • Wall panels
    • Lighting
    • Ballscrews?

do you have the solidworks files for what you've done so far? I like the quad z screws compared to the 2 on the d-bot/c-bot...which aren't supported up top either.

This is a really great design. I just ordered a boat load of parts to build out a similar printer. Thanks so much for sharing it.

    Adam,
I haven't gotten very far with my build, but I too bought a DuetWiFi, LCD, and 24V electronics.
The linear rails should have significantly increased the weight of the X-Y platform. Is your Z stepper holding up OK?
I'm looking forward to more as you have time.

    Adam,
^5 (High Five) on the Fusion 360 files - I downloaded them when I got home from work. Looks like you hand-built many of them - they all look great.
    You HAVE been busy!!
    Thanks

Do you have the files for the current X carriage "stuff"? The files I DL'd were for Dyze parts, and I want to use E3D, as that is what is on my other printers.

Looking for the stl's for the Extruder/hotend assembly. Sorry, have not used Fusion 360. are the stl's available?

I printed the assemblies for the Dyze, but do not see the stl files for the E3D (X carriage/Hot end/ Extruder assembly.

Also, is the frame assembly finalized now? I am trying to see if I can get one together for a class I have been asked to teach.
