Ive been cutting shapes with my diy plasma cutter until it sent me... error:2 Numeric value is not valid or missing an expected value [ PK ] When I send $ [HLP: $ $# $G $I $N $X=val $Nx=line $SLP $C $X $H ~ ! ? ctrl-x] What does it mean and how do I fix it?
Sounds like the OpenBuilds community is going to throw me off the island. Hate to be the village idiot but how do I achieve this valid gcode? What did I do to cause the problem?
The more info you include the more we are able (and willing) to assist. Where's the gcode from that contains these non gcode commands. What CAM are you using. Are you sure it's Grbl compatible? etc Include full logs (not truncated) and samples of any gcode you are needing help with. With how little you give us, best we can offer are a couple guesses
Fusion 360 CAD and OpenBuilds as the CAM. That combo had worked well for two months with over 50 drawings converted to metal parts. 3 days ago I opened my computer to burn a part and the [PK] error code would not allow it. That means everything was compatible.
Can't help much with where that errant g-code came from, neither programme should produce that, but I do recommend learning Fusion cam - Openbuilds cam is deliberately designed as a simple "get you started" option. Use this post processor with Fusion cam - docs:software:fusion360 [OpenBuilds Documentation] Alex.
