    A small suggestion for future versions. Can we have it not start to taskbar on boot and have it open fullscreen when it is started by the user, like most other apps? I don't use it that often and would rather not have it using resources all the time. I've turned it off in settings/apps/startup, but it turns itself back on any time I do run the software.
    Otherwise great software/hardware.
    Thanks very much.

    In the background it uses barely any resources (it does nothing) , and disabling autostart breaks things like the webserver, integration API, makes for much slower startup when you do use it etc. Just use it as designed! :)

    From my point of view I would like the choice of what runs and what doesn't. Sooner or later all these little background things make your PC slower and slower. And I don't see why this app should require web integration. It basically needs to stream g-code to the hardware controller. Hopefully this isn't going to end up another cloud-base product..
    Thanks for your time.

    the web integration is used to send generated gcode from cam.openbuilds.com direct to CONTROL, but for this to work CONTROL has to be loaded.
    loading it as startup makes life simple for the beginner user and reduces the number of support questions here in the forums.

    if you unload control before shutting down the PC, it won't load automatically as startup. at least, that is what my PC does.

    A default to open maximized option would nice. I've tried changing the shortcut properties, but it doesn't force it to open maximized.

    Thanks, since it loads to the system tray initially, I wouldn't have thought to click, then double click the desktop icon a second time. Once opened, I pinned the icon to the taskbar and then set the properties to maximize and it seems to stick that way.

    I am now getting this error every time I start my computer.

    As had been mentioned previously it would be really nice to have the option for it to not startup automatically. I use it on my main work computer (not woodworking related) so I use it on this computer less than 20% of the time.

    Are you on Version V1.0.367? That looks like an error from running an outdated version (always keep CONTROL up to date)

    It may have been, It prompted for a update after I posted that. I will report back if I still get that error after updating.

    I totally agree, I want to start the software when I want to start it and not with Windows. It has more reasons. I really like the software but this is nerving me a lot. I probably use another software and come back to openbuilds in the future when this is fixed.

    Make sure to uninstall, cleanup (including old startup items) and then reinstall to see if V1.0.370 satisfies your needs

    V1.0.370 is still running with Windows start? Did I missed something?

    It is a 2 second fix - Ctrl-Alt-Del -> Task Manager -> Startup -> OpenBuildsControl -> right click -> disable

    Im not happy with autostart either. I did several ctrl-alt-del and disable the program but next start and without opening the program it still is enabled. It is a great program and i know you put a lot of effort to build it but since i dont use my cnc that much i uninstall it just for that.
