I have had intermittent cutting stoppages where the controller says it has lost contact with the drive. I assume it means that the signal to the controller got disconnected. Some posts suggest that the issue is electrical noise. However, when I use all the same hardware (computer, USB cable and open builds controller) with easel I never have that problem. This then begs the question why don't I have the same problem since all the hardware is the same for both controller programs???

BTW, what is the controller reset switch supposed to do? I have the older controller.

OK, I finally have 2 screen shots of the error messages. As you can see from one of them, sometimes the pgm continues to run after displaying the error, but eventually stops. As I said before, I have never had this issue with easel, and I have run their 3D pgm for 10-12 hours, even with an overnight pause - no problem.

    Same computer
    all hardware the same

now, my computer is an Apple laptop which is about 10 years old. I do plan to buy a new PC shortly, that would be an interesting test.
Thanks for your input. I really do prefer Openbuilds.

That does seem computer related (macOS randomly unmounted the DMG)
