If I were to guess, its a wiring issue with one of your limit switches. Go into the troubleshooting tab and see if one of them is triggered when it shouldnt be. If so, fix your wiring.
Error 9 doesn't say what caused the error - something preceded that error message which tells you what the cause was. Does your control software give you a log of what happened immediately before the error 9 message? Alex.
How do I clear this error message. I try uninstalling the software and resetting ever thing back to factory setting. I still getting this message. I can jog with no problem but when I try to probe this message is still coming up.
Again, we need to see the errors before it. When it happens again, click OK, then copy and paste the serial log here. Also, did you look at the troubleshooting tab that I mentioned a few posts back? Was anything triggered? Perhaps the probe?
Actually, I can just see the error message in the serial log. It says "target exceeds max travel". This means that in order to complete the probing routine, the machine would have to move beyond its max travel. This can happen if you dont home your machine first, or if you set your stock too close to the to the max travel of the machine.
I did the homing, and I'm still getting this error message, I don't know what I am missing. I'm checking every thing all my limit switches is working fine. I can Jog the router head X,Y,Z within my work space with no problem. when I set back up my probe for a new job and I click on the button to verify the probe. I keep getting this error message still.
