    Hello community
I have a problem with my openbuild router with blackbox controller and openbuild control.
Openbuilds leeds 1010, Blackbox Controller, Openbuilds Control on Ubuntu Linux, Openbuilds Control on Raspberry Pi 4 2GByte.
I know the control on the Raspberry is not supported, but I think the problem is somewhere else.
It occurs on both the Rasperry Pi and the Ubuntu Linux laptop.
Gcode file size about 8 to 20 bytes, created with Freecad.
Problem: After a few minutes of milling, the router stops. By pressing Pause and starting again, a few more movements are milled. Then the router finally stops.
Communication with the black box is usually no longer possible. Also no jog.
If it is possible, the jogging is very delayed.
Resetting the black box has no success. Usually the computer has to be restarted.
Sometimes it is enough to restart the Opencontrol software.
On a trial basis I used Octoprint with GRBL module. Same problem.
There is an error message that Black Box ready reports but does not react. Sorry, I don't have the exact text anymore.

I suspect it is a serial USB problem. Is something like this known from the Black Box?
I don't know how to solve the problem.

Sorry for my bad english! Its more or less automatical translate from german language :)

    Good hint.
I have never observed USB power saving on my computers.
The laptop with Ubuntu and the Raspberry Pi were never in stand-by or sleep mode.
However, I will follow up on your tip.

    1) Yes, I have already read that here in the forum. But the processor load is only 15%. The memory (2GB) is also only used to about 15%.
I use OpenBuildsControl after the job start without user interface.
The next tests will be done with my Ubuntu laptop (Thinkpad L570).
    2) Unfortunately, I don't have a Windows machine available. I will get one if point 3 is not successful.
    3) EMI is now my favourite.
I was a bit stupid not to think of it myself.
Today I will check whether the programmes run with the milling spindle switched off.
I have routed the power cable of the milling spindle (Makita RT0700 with electronic speed control) in the power chain. Maybe a bad idea.
    Additional actions:
    * High quality USB cable with ferrites.
    * Ferrites for the 24V power supply.
    * Disconnecting the (unused) limit switch cables.

I will report if the actions are successful.
    Many thanks for the support!
    :)

Google for "ubuntu usb selective suspend" it is active by default. We provide instructions for Windows under section 4.2 of docs.openbuilds.com/blackbox

    The problem is located!

I let the router run the gcode programmes without a spindle motor (spindel motor switch off, cable disconnected. Milled in the air).
This works fine, both on the Raspberry Pi and on the Ubuntu laptop.

No communication problems or interruptions have occurred.
    This is an excellent result.

I will now remove the power cable of the milling spindle from the cable chain and route it separately.
I have read in the documentation that this is also recommended. There is also a link to a video where you can see a Leed with its own arm for suction and milling spindle power supply.
I hope that there will then be no more faults.
I will report the result to you.
    :)
